tom281 Premium shocks are superior to regular hydraulic shocks because air in the shock is replaced by pressurized nitrogen gas. This advancement in technology prevents bubbles from forming in the hydraulic fluid. These bubbles, called foaming, reduces the ability of shocks to provide resistance and prevent bounce. Gas shocks also quicken the response of a shock's movement thereby increasing comfort and control under all conditions.

    Hot Rod’s Suspensions

karttensmth Are you crazy for hot rods? If yes, then you are not alone. Hot rods are the rage of the present time. Majority of vehicle-lovers long for owning a hot rod. If you too are planning the same or already are a proud owner of a hot rod, you can benefit a lot by ways for improving it with respect to appearance and functions. If former is the case with you, either go for a new car or modify an old car into one which you have always dream t of. One way is to bring changes to the car's suspension. Before jumping to this section of the article, it will be good if you know something about the car suspension such as its types, benefits and the likes.Since 1930s, there have been varieties of configuration in different suspensions. However, the basic structure is of the spring and a shock hydraulic absorber that has always remained standard for all types of cars. Air suspension has a tendency to replace conventional springs into air springs that one can find in heavy vehicles such as 18-wheel semi trucks.

HCI Fitness Sprint Outrigger Scull Rowing Machine Reviews By Customers
I am very happy with the swift delivery and excellent condition in which the product presented. It now resides in front of my TV for nightly (or rainy day) workouts.
Great design and function. Not so good quality. Christopher R. Stevenson Cedar City, UTMy purchase was based on several great reviews and a fair price for the rower. It is the perfect size for an average room, easy to use and a very solid machine. However, after the first use, one of the hydraulic shafts (that sets the amount of resistance) began to fail. So, the resistance setting on that rowing arm needs to be reset after only a dozen pulls. I contacted HCI fitness and their affiliates to get a replacement part There were none and/or they were less than willing to help after several attempts. I still cant find a replacement part anywhere. Too bad. Overall the unit would be great, but based on this failed part and total lack of help getting a replacement part from the manufacturer or distributor, I DO NOT recommend this product.

The Honeymoon Is Over Laserwolf IowaPLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW. I BOUGHT THIS MACHINE JUST OVER A YEAR AGO. THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY.
Ive had this HCI rower for just over a year and at first it was great. Shipping, assembly, and use was a breeze and I used it 5 days a week for a solid yearright up until about the 6 month mark when one of the oars broke off. Not at a weld, not at a joint or hinge, but right in the middle. It just broke off in my hand. So being the self reliant type I took it to a friend and we welded it back on and it was fine againright up until the frame broke. Its hard to explain what it looked like, but long story short the main beam of the machine pretty much peeled away from the front supports. So, since its no longer under warranty I carried it down the stairs and on my way to the dumpster decided to put it in the garage until I figured out what to do with it even though I know its useless.
Please dont mistake this for a completely negative review of the machine. Its a good machine at a good price for someone who is looking to get started with a fitness program. If you are looking for a long term heavy duty piece of equipment this may not be the machine for you. Ill always be glad I bought this machine because it was my gateway into taking better care of myselfbut if I had it to do over again Id have dropped a few extra bucks on something that would last.
Other issues with the machine. The counter/computer seems to be alright, but the calorie meter is just about useless. I have a hard time believing that 100 strokes at a low setting and 100 strokes at a high setting burns the same number of calories.
Also, during periods of extended rowing the pistons get very hot causing the oil inside to expand and this restricts the amount of travel in the oars which makes it very hard to use proper form.
The rubber grips like to twist off, but a little duct tape fixed that.
At the pivot point of each oar some kind of powdery substance (I think a rubber bushing)is ground up a tiny bit at a time as you row and over time it will...

Customer Video Review Length:: 1:16 MinsSo far, so good. I was a little upset that there weren't any video reviews for this product, (youtube, from the company itself etc.) so I promised myself that I'd make a video demonstration for others to judge. The basic stuff you need to know: There are 12 levels of resistance (I was using resistance level 8).The computer tells you how many complete rows you have performed, time performed, calories burned or you can scan through all three (My computer didn't work when it first arrived, but after a solid punch it woke up and started working). The resistance is nice. You'll get a good workout with this inexpensive machine. Storage is convenient, but don't be fooled, 35 pounds is heavy to move around from room to room. Keep the machine close to where you plan on using it. Finally, the footstraps were a major complaint. My complaint about the footstraps is that it doesn't hold your feet securely against the footrests. The clicking noise you hear in... 5/5 Louie Lefkowitz "Lou da Joo" (New York, NY) - See all my reviews, September 25, 2010

    Great Rower For The Money

I have had this rower for a week now and it has been working great. The first rower I bought (a different brand of rower) broke down after 15 min of use, but the Stamina Body Glider is well built and very easy to use. The instruction booklet is very clear. It only took a few minutes to put the machine together. The amount of resistance is adjustable and the machine is very quiet. The only noise you hear is from the shock absorber type device which provides the resistance. It looks and feels like a more expensive piece of equipment, but provides the same type of workout that those higher priced models provide. Relatively lightweight, the Stamina Body Glider comes in at around 35lbs. The light weight makes it easy to move the machine around. I am thoroughly satisfied with this machine so far and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a rower. 5/5 R. Rose - See all my reviews, April 17, 2006

Started Good, Now Disappointing, Maybe Dangerous

We just assembled our new Stamina 1215 Orbital Rower. It took about an hour and a half. The machine feels pretty sturdy to me. Is it worth $279? Hard to say, but with everything so overpriced these days, who knows? The acid test is usually how long something lasts, so it will be worth the money if it gives several years of good service. I've done my first half hour of rowing and it's a fairly smooth action and relatively quiet. On some sites, a few people complained that the lowest setting is too tough for beginners, and I agree. But you can set the arms even a little lower than the bottom number, and this helps. I've had two rowing machines in the past and this one is as good or better than they were. I like the ability to set the back of the bar up higher which aids in getting off and on the rower. I was concerned about the 'orbital' action of the arms, but find it's easy to adjust to, and in effect, you can just row as normal and not use the orbital ability at all. Don't waste your money

I bought this Stamina 1215 rower two weeks ago. After 10 days of use, the rollers that allow the seat to move up and down the frame as one rows collapsed. Naturally I'd already tossed out all the packing materials and the box. Oh, well. What I did was, I transplanted the arms, and the hydraulic resistance units (think cheap shock absorbers) onto a 20-year old Altero rower - the resistance units for that gave up some time ago, and that company is out of business, but now it's back on the road, using the Stamina's resistance units. Compared to this one, that old Altero is built like a tank. This one is, in my estimation, worth maybe $15. Yes, it's less expensive than the similar Kettler, and which now wish I'd sprung for; but it's also not worth the $279 currently being charged for it, in my estimation. All the parts are cheap and designed to be sold, as opposed to having been designed to be used. The "computer" is a cheapie and its little screen is tough to see. Do yourself a favor:... 1/5 J. F. Stamina 1215 Orbital Rowing Machine

After using this exercise machine for about a month (9 total exercise hours), I have found it is basically a good machine for the price. After 4 hours of use, one of the hydraulic shocks developed a "dead spot" at the start of the stroke. I called the Stamina toll free number for customer support. They sent out a replacement shock which seems to be working OK.The 4 roller wheels on the seat slide are molded plastic. They aren't exactly round so they "rumble" a little bit. It would be nice if they were smooth without mold marks on the running surfaces. 4/5 Sailor Don "Rower man" - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina 1215 Orbital Rowing Machine with Free Motion Arms (Sports) After using this exercise machine for about a month (9 total exercise hours), I have found it is basically a good machine for the price.
